PROPERTIES:
APSALIQ POLISTAR 100 mg/ml is used for the treatment of Mycoplasmosis, Pasteurellosis and diseases produced by Enrofloxacin sensitive bacteria.
Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal synthetic fluoroquinolone, inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase during bacterial replication.
COMPOSITION:
Each milliliter contains:
Enrofloxacin.................................................. 100 mg
Excipients q.s................................................ 1 ml
DOSAGE AND TARGET SPECIES:
Broilers: 10 mg Enrofloxacin per kg of body weight per day, equivalent to
0.10 ml of APSALIQ POLISTAR 100 mg/ml oral solution, per kg of body weight per day. To be administered for 3 - 5 consecutive days.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Oral route in drinking water.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Broilers: Meat: 7 days
Broilers: Eggs: Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption Do not administer to layers replacement birds within 14 days of coming into lay.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use for prophylaxis.
Do not use when resistance/ cross-resistance to (fluoro)quinolones is known to occur.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to active substance.
ADVERSE REACTIONS: None known.
INTERACTIONS:
Do not administer together with substances containing magnesium, aluminium, calcium or other cations as they can reduce the absorption of Enrofloxacin.
Do not administer with bacteriostatic agents (macrolide or tetracycline and phenicols).
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store in the original container in a cool dry place, protect from light.
