INDICATIONS:
For active immunisation of chickens against Fowlpox virus.
Composition:
Each dose of reconstituted vaccine contains:
- Live attenuated Fowlpox virus strain Brescia
P1: ≥ 3.0 log10 TCID50*
*TCID50 = Tissue Culture Infectious Dose 50%
Solvent:
Water for injections 0.012 ml
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Wing web administration.
After reconstitution, administer one dose of vaccine by wing web injection.
Breeders: vaccinate chickens of 5-15 weeks of age (if the field conditions suggest to vaccinate younger chicks - 1 to 5 weeks of age - administer half dose of vaccine [one prong] and repeat the treatment after 80 days).
Layers: vaccinate one month before the beginning of the laying period.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in unhealthy birds.
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to the excipient.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
None known, except for the presence of a swelling or formation of a nodular lesion at the injection site 7 days post-vaccination showing that the vaccination was successful.
If serious adverse reactions or reactions not mentioned in the leaflet occur, please inform the physician.
SPECIAL WARNINGS:
Special warnings for each target species: None.
Special precautions for use in animals:
Vaccinate only healthy animals.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
People with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to the excipient should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product.
In case of accidental self-injection, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician.
Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay:
Use only accordingly to the benefit/risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
Incompatibilities:
Do not mix with any other veterinary medicinal
product, except the solvent VAXXON DILUENT POX
supplied for use with the veterinary medicinal
product.
Storage conditions:
Store in a refrigerator (2 °C – 8 °C).
Do not freeze. Protect from light.
Shelf life:
Packaged product: 24 months after production date.
Reconstituted product: 2 hours.
